Hey everyone,
I have been fortunate enough to grab a writing position at a different website that provides a little profit, and although it isn’t a full-time job where cash comes rolling into my bank account it was the next logical step to take to propel myself further into the industry. Baby steps, that’s how I see them; a series of stepping stones.
So I have had to retire my role as news writer for HBHUD. There are other circumstances involved too. I have just graduated from university and my primary concern is to find employment. This has redirected my focus from writing onto other things, and I didn’t want it to bleed through into the news articles.
Writing for free has been a valuable experience. Writing for HBHUD has provided me with a source of press releases and the opportunity to practice re-working those sources into comprehensible, entertaining news pieces. This website has also provided me with a platform to present my writing, and that is a position I have been extremely grateful for.
So for any writers out there reading this: Take every chance you get, even if it doesn’t fill your pockets.
