Doom 3 BFG Edition is a Beautiful F*****g Game

The wait is almost over. Soon you will be killing demons in high definition. Bethesda and Id Software have announced that the Doom 3 BFG Edition will be available in North America on October 16th, 2012 and in Europe on October 19th, 2012. It will cost PC gamers $29.99 and be priced at $39.99 for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. This edition contains the re-mastered version of Doom 3, complete with the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack and 7 brand spanking new levels called The Lost Mission.

Doom 3, along with the additional content, has been over-hauled with advanced visuals and improved lighting that will leave players captivated and feeling fully immersed amongst the demonic plague that threatens all life on Earth. Fans have the chance to experience Doom 3 like never-before, because the BFG Edition utilizes 3D technology and 5.1 surround sound. An improved save-check system has also been installed to allow for a smoother sense of progression and security.

Id Software has fine-tuned the controls for consoles to mimic the same playability as the PC versions while maintaining ease and comfort for console gamers. Players can now light dark corners and blast enemies to meaty smithereens at the same time, thanks to the new armoured-mounted flashlight.

As if all those improvements weren’t enough the Doom 3 BFG Edition also brings the original Doom and Doom II to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, making it the definitive collection for all Doom and FPS enthusiasts.
