Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is the twelfth title in the extreme sports skateboarding franchise that started out on the PS1 and N64 in 1999. The game is a compilation of the best bits of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2. It may have taken 13 years but the wait has been worth it, because now hardcore fans get to experience their nostalgia in high-definition and with a seasoning of fresh content. You can expect to see Pro Skater HD on PSN and XBLA this summer, but even before its release Activision and Robomodo have announced DLC.
Last year Tony Hawk used Twitter to ask his followers what their favourite Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 levels were. Needless to say, Hawk’s curiosity was research for his latest game. It is clear that Hawk, Activision, and Robomodo take fan feedback seriously. Levels such as Marseilles and School 2, just to name a couple, have made it into Pro Skater HD because of fan participation. This is why Hawk, Activision and Robomodo are giving you the chance to help create the DLC.
The first installment of downloadable content will contain multiple levels from the most critically acclaimed Tony Hawk game, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. However, the levels have not been decided yet. This is where you can get involved. Head over to the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD Facebook page right now. Simply ‘like’ the page and comment on the post revealing the DLC. Don’t forget to include what levels from Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 you would love to see, and why they need to be included in the up-and-coming Pro Skater HD.
Every single post will be read by Tony, and the Birdman himself will get the final say on what levels will be included in the DLC. I’m hoping for the Warehouse and the Airport personally. Blast off in the comments and let us know what levels you dream of seeing. You never know, with your help your wish may come true.
