When Brink released, I may have tried too hard to justify playing it. Luckily, I rented it, so I only ponied up $2 to try this grand experiment.
But now Splash Damage has confirmed the date of its DLC for July 30, which will also be free for two weeks after it releases. Trying to coax your customers back I see?
The Agents of Change DLC will introduce two new maps, five new abilities (one for each class plus a universal one), and two new weapon attachments as well as increasing the level cap from 20 to 24.
As for the problems everyone complained about before? Keep in mind that they only did a workaround fix for the lag by limiting regular gametypes to 4 versus 4, unless you decide to hop onto big team which maxes out at 8 versus 8. A separate update is planned which will attempt to fix the lag for properly.
But as the majority of the shooter community has already deemed Brink as a failure, Splash Damage will have to get the PR pony rolling to really bring those negative-nancies back.
